Come to HarborFest August 25th and 26th at the Mattson Lower Harbor Park! Live Music from 4:45-11pm on the Friday the 25th and from 12:30-11pm on Saturday!
Fall Fishing Tournament starting at 6am on Saturday before HarborFest at Mattson Lower Harbor Park. Live Catch and release from 11 – 3pm. Come at 3 for the fish weigh in followed by the Fisherman’s awards ceremony.
The Wooden Canoe Heritage Association is devoted to preserving, restoring, and using wooden and bark canoes, and to disseminating information about canoeing heritage throughout the world . They will be featuring 20 Antique boats, and wooden canoes that are up to 100 years old! Come to HarborFest Friday August 25th and Saturday August 26th to see a piece of our American Heritage.
Family Fun for all at HarborFest! Friday August 25th from 5-9pm and Saturday August 26th from 12-7pm there will be 5 blow-up and bouncy houses for the little ones as well as a variety of other kids actives provided by Double Trouble Entertainment!
Double Trouble Entertainment will also be hosting a Corn Hole Tournament in their 30×80 tent during HarborFest. Come down Friday, August 25th for a FREE practice game and sign your team of two up for Saturday’s festivities. Tickets will be $30 per team which includes at least two games of corn hole and two beers (21 and older). The tournament will be double elimination with a cash prize for the first and second place teams, with a general prize for third place. The roster will take up to 60 days. You can register your team early or the day of up until 1 PM. After 1 PM, Double Trouble will not accept any more teams.
Come down to the Lower Harbor for the Classic Car and Motorcycle Show. Enjoy a FREE public viewing of over 100 cars and bikes between the tents and park playground. Running from 11:00am to 4:00pm this will be a great extra attraction on site everyone in the family can enjoy. Saturday, August 26th, from 11-4 only!
At HarborFest on Saturday August 26th from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm the Upper Peninsula Luge Club will have a demonstration luge slide to try out! Come out rush down the 40ft wheel luge slide. The UP Luge Club will also have an informational table so you can learn how to join the club and participate during the winter months.
A 200ft Coast Guard Cutter will also be joining us in the harbor for this year’s HarborFest. Sponsored by the Marquette Maritime Museum, the cutter is scheduled to be docked in the harbor Friday and Saturday (pending emergency mission elsewhere)! The cutter will be open for public tours Friday afternoon and all day Saturday so you can walk aboard and check it out!
