Marquette, MI – August 15, 2018 – We’re just over a week away from the start of HarborFest 2018. The Marquette West Rotary’s live music festival and weekend of family-fun is just about here and we couldn’t be more excited!
We’re taking over Marquette’s Mattson Lower Harbor Park Friday, August 24th and Saturday, August 25th for one of the best free two-day music festivals in the Upper Peninsula, but it’s so much more. This family-friendly event will have a large kid’s zone with inflatables from Double Trouble DJ’s. There will be a car and motorcycle show, luge demonstrations from the U.P. Luge Club and food vendors throughout the festival.
Bring a team and sign up for the Double Trouble Corn Hole Tournament on Saturday, or watch the 2:30pm weigh-in for the South Shore Fishing Association’s Fall Fishing Tournament. HarborFest will have activities to keep you entertained from Friday right through to Saturday night.
Each evening, we’ll be headlining a major band starting with Chicago’s Bumpus. After their HarborFest debut last year, Bumpus is returning for another gig on the stage at Mattson Lower Harbor as the Friday night headliner. Catch them live in the harbor from 9-11pm and enjoy the powerful music as they lay down some energizing beats!
Saturday night, after a full day of live music from local bands, down state’s Live Bullet Detroit will star as the night’s main performance. The Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band Tribute Band channels the “Old Time Rock and Roll” of Seger himself. Live Bullet Detroit has made it big, playing at venues like Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in 2017 and Jimmy John’s Field! Needless to say, we’re excited to welcome this new band to HarborFest.
