Marquette, MI – September 13, 2017 – Today the Marquette West Rotary welcomed Kelly Jandron, VP and Regional Branch Administrator at Range Bank of Marquette. As a fellow business professional, Kelly joined today’s meeting to share news of the upcoming Evergreen Award Luncheon.
Hosted at the Northern Michigan University Great Lakes Room on Monday, October 23, 2017, guests will gather for the luncheon and celebrate the hard work of nominated individuals. During the assembly, one male or female recipient will receive the Evergreen Award for their commitment to improving the quality of life for women in the Marquette community.
Jandron shared the background of the award, originally the Athena Award. Now the Evergreen Award after being taken over by Zonta of Marquette, this achievement recognizes those who are dedicated to mentoring girls and women, helping them reach their potential in leadership.
Kelly Jandron reminded Rotarians that there are many men and women who deserve recognition. Below are the requirements a person must meet in order to be nominated. If you believe someone you know may fit the criteria, follow the instructions on the nomination form to submit a new candidate for the Evergreen Award. The submission deadline is Thursday, September 21, 2017. You can also find out more about this event on the Zonta website.
Award recipients must meet each of three specific criteria
- Assist and/or mentor women and girls in reaching their leadership potential.
- Demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business, profession and/or volunteerism.
- Provide exceptional service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community.
